Product Pic of the Week
I tried to think out of all the wonderful products that Close To My Heart offers.....which one do I love the most. Well, sorry, I couldn't pick the "one" I love the most.......so I picked the one I "use" the most.
It's the Piercing Tools! I can't tell you how many times I use this on a project - and it's not just for poking holes! I use it to transfer sparkles, move adheisive, hold things in place, and it's awesome to pick up small embellishments. I use it ALL the time, and at $5.95 you can't beat it! See it on page 98 of the Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book. Let me know what you use this tool for!

Everything's Coming Up Roses!
Ok, this is what happens when you are doing a craft fair and there are NO customers! There is no scrap of paper that is safe.....even old Idea Books got torn up! Flowers, flowers, and more flowers (can you tell I'm really into flowers right now! I know its fall not spring...) I plan to use them on some project I'm putting together later today.
Stop back tomorrow for pics of finished products and a how to!
I lost count as to how many I made. Can you tell the ones made from newsprint and old Idea Books?

Fancy Dress Card
Here is a card I made for my niece's birthday last week. So much fun with our pearls to accessorize with!
Just using white card stock, the fold is at the top. The pink part of the dress is from older Close To My Heart paper pack. I covered a button with the same paper, added pearls for the center and a flower (petals are colored slightly with ink), added black ribbon and pearls for the belt. Made an envelope to fit it out of a magazine lipstick add and wha-la, a perfect card for a 27 yr young lady!
(Idea from Paper Crafts magazine, Heidi Van Loar)

I just love the fact that I don't have to think really hard to make cards. The patterns designed for me, dimensions figured out....all I have to do is choose some paper and do the really fun part and embellish.
Again, this is the same pattern, same paper pack, but look how different they are! I LOVE our "How To" progam books! I Love My CTMH!!!!

A Bowl of Cherries - Not!
Playing Tourist
My sister Linda, her daughter Melonie, and 2 dear friends Edna and Angelina, flew up from San Diego, another good friend, Cheryl, flew down from Seattle, and I drove into the city Sat morning . . . all meeting in San Francisco for a couple of days. We went on several bus tours, shopped, ate, saw lots of sites, took lots of pictures and had a blast. Here is a picture of us (after breakfast) at Pergamino's on Sunday morning. Ummmm-good!

Simple Birthday Card
Using some older retired paper (sorry, trying to use up my stash!) this is a great b-day card for kids of any age.
Using a one inch stripe of blue card stock I tore both edges to give it shabby look (our paper has a white core!)
After stamping my sentiment, I just drew the border with a black sharpie, mat and add a bow!
